Vid sommarsolståndet den 21 juni kan du se solens nedgång kl 21:52 och uppgång kl 03:56 framför dig under årets kortaste natt. Sakta kryper mörkret närmare och vid höstdagjämningen den 23 september går solen ner rakt i väster kl 18:50 och upp rakt i öster kl 06:38. Se riktningarna på verket nedanför dig.

You are now standing at Trollskogen's northernmost outpost, facing the horizon. The cape ends here, and far away on the other side of the sea is Oxelösund. At the summer solstice on June 21, you can see the sun set at 9:52 PM and rise at 3:56 AM in front of you during the shortest night of the year. Darkness slowly comes closer and at the autumnal equinox on September 23, the sun sets directly in the west at 18:50 and rises directly in the east at 06:38. Past and Presence är ett samarbete mellan konstnärerna Ebba Bohlin och Anna Ridderstad som undersöker landskap, historia och ekologi. Under 2022 och 2023 befann sig Past and Presence på norra Öland, med nedslag i bland annat en övergiven järnåldersby och en rituell plats där himmel och hav möts bakom en avskiljande mur.
Past and Presence is a collaboration between artists Ebba Bohlin and Anna Ridderstad, which investigates landscape, history and ecology. In 2022 and 2023, Past and Presence took place in northern Öland, focusing on an abandoned Iron Age village and a ritual site where sky and sea meet behind a separating wall.
